February 2017

The third book in the Trouble series about Georgia and her troublesome dragon was launched at Harry Hartog in Woden (here in Canberra) this month.

It was a great day where I got to meet lots of people who are getting to know Georgia and Trouble and enjoy reading about all their escapades.

Talking of book launches, I also took myself along to Tania McCartney's launch of This is Banjo Paterson.

Tania McCartney never goes halves in her wonderful launches, and this one was no exception. Arriving at the venue in the foyer of the National Library of Australia, we were met with a sea of chairs and cushions ready for the event, a table full of fun activities, and, of course, Tania, eager to share her gorgeous book with us.

What we (an audience full of excited kids and their adults) got was a story about the book and all the research that Tania undertook to write it, a reading, and a song (of course).

Congratulations to Tania and to the marvellous illustrator, Christina Booth.
