Look at this!
This treasure trove of books came to me from Hachette Australia, thanks to Kids' Book Review and one of those lovely competitions where you get to write about something in 25 words: in this case it was what Christmas meant to me.
I wrote:
Christmas is family. It's giggles and shiny, crinkly paper. Twinkling lights. Lunch that goes forever, with laughter, pudding, and mince pies. Christmas is love.
I'm really looking forward to getting some great reading in. Then, doubtless, I'll be sharing with family and friends.
I don't often seem to win prizes, but this was the second book prize in 2014, after I won a lucky door prize at a book shop opening (I was so surprised, then, that i almost didn't claim my book!).
Anyone who knows me, knows how much I love books, and enjoy reading for pleasure... well, there's a lot of pleasure for me ahead with this little collection of 18, yes, 18, books! The big question is, where to start? Hmm. I'll let you know how I go!
